when you take down a wall between two rooms, it will frequently become apparent that the floor levels are not exactly the same. after all, they didn’t need to be. once the two areas are open to one another, however, even a tiny difference will show. Either floors will need to be levelled or you might choose to use a step between spaces to help zone the areas. You might also need a plasterer if knocking through has revealed slightly unaligned walls that, like the floor, didn’t need to meet precisely before.
