Tracey’s top three grasses
Switchgrass
A stiff, upright grass that grows to about 1.5m in height, with bluegreen leaves that gradually turn yellow in autumn. Plant in clumps for maximum impact.
Japanese Forest grass
A compact, easy-to-grow grass with eye-catching yellow leaves, striped with bright green. Cut it back in late winter to encourage new spring growth.
Eulalia grass
This bushy grass has narrow green leaves through spring and summer, and develops feathery, creamy-brown flower heads for autumn interest and texture.
