Too many pressies?

Michelle Hughes,

30, mum to Jessica, six, Lucas, nine, and Autumn, two, says, ‘An easy way to deal with this is to tell her that Santa only brings toys he thinks she’ll use. I always try to think about what things my kids need, instead of want, as that helps to whittle down the list.’ Tanita Dighton, 28, mum to Ethan, seven, and Lawson, 11 months old, says, ‘In my experience, most of the joy comes from unwrapping a big colourful pile of pressies, so I’d suggest taking her to a cheap shop and allow her to pick out a few silly indulgences.’

Stacy Gibson, 28, mum to Shelby, four, says, ‘Use the time between now and Christmas to question your little one about her present requests. As her mum, you know what things she likes and plays with, so use this to gently steer her in the right direction.’
