This Christmas card was for troops in the trenches in the First World War. I wonder if it could be of any value?
Tim Watson, Conisbrough, South Yorkshire
These cards were made to boost morale in the trenches, and are an interesting snapshot of social history. They are collected, but generally change hands for little more than £5. Any additional provenance, such as the sender’s history or memorabilia added to the card, would add value.
