ART FASHIONED FROM NATURE AT THE V&A, LONDON

A pineapple-fibre clutch bag, Emma Watson’s monochrome Calvin Klein dress made from recycled plastic bottles, and garments by designers from Poiret to Erdem are among the 300 beautiful, intriguing and unsettling objects Fashioned From Nature that feature in this blockbuster exhibition at the capital’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Tracing the complex relationship between fashion and the natural world, this show will dazzle the eyes and provoke the mind.

From 21st April until 27th January 2019 (vam.ac.uk)

FILM TULLY

When Marlo, played by the dazzling, blade-sharp Charlize Theron, is gifted a night nanny for a month when her brother suspects she’s heading for a breakdown, she is initially wary of the perceived opulence. But when Tully, played by Mackenzie Davis, arrives, the pair come to form a unique bond in this funny, observant and empathetic story. The script is whip-smart and hilarious – no surprise, given that it’s penned by screenwriter Diablo Cody (of Juno and Jennifer’s Body fame) – and thoughtfully prods questions of family, parenthood, career and life.

In cinemas from 20th April
