Pensions are probably one of the most confusing aspects of your personal finances and one that many overlook, which is why you need to look after yourself. You never know when you might need your own independent fund.

DON’T TURN DOWN FREE MONEY

If your employer offers a pension scheme, try to take advantage of the free money that it can give you – whatever percentage you put in will be boosted by both the taxman and your employer.
