Rob and Paul Forkan are the brothers behind Gandys, the ‘fashion for good’ clothing brand they founded after they lost their parents in the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in Sri Lanka. Gandys aims to help underprivileged children across the world. Profits have so far built educational campuses in Sri Lanka, Malawi and Nepal.

When we’re in the office, we try to only talk about work. This helps us focus on growing our brand and developing our educational campuses to help underprivileged kids worldwide.

Don’t be tempted to change your targets if you think you’re not going to hit them.

We always encourage each other to aim high, even if it seems unachievable.

Know your relative’s strengths and weaknesses.

Don’t expect their personality to change in the office. Work out what motivates you both and use this to push each other. Try to manage each other’s skills and flaws.
