Relaxing in good company on a sunny day with a glass of cool, crisp Prosecco in hand has to be one of life’s simple pleasures. Now imagine taking the first delicious sip as you admire the undiscovered region this sparkling wine comes from; the sun-kissed vineyards of northern Italy’s Veneto.
On this five-night self-driven trip, you will enjoy private, behind-thescenes tours and tastings at prestigious wineries, and have plenty of freedom to relax in between your planned activities.
This holiday is all about wine tastings. You’ll have five to look forward to, two of which are within walking distance of your hotel. You’ll visit the fascinating Poli Grappa Museum, located in a fascinating 15th-century palace in Bassano del Grappa, and the Andreola-prosecco Valdobbiadene winery, where you’ll sample some of the region’s best Prosecco. One day you’ll set off on an e-bike to meander through the sweeping vineyards of the ‘Path of Prosecco’.
Your home for the trip will be the delightful Hotel Contà in Pieve di Soligo – a beautifully restored villa in the heart of the old town. You’ll have a lot of freedom to discover the area at your own pace, with car hire included throughout.
