Poly­gon Per­fec­tion

The 3D en­gine cre­ated for F29 Re­tal­ia­tor was up­dated for Robo­cop 3, re­sult­ing in a fast and fluid ex­pe­ri­ence. The de­sign­ers claim they had to slow the walk­ing sec­tions to bet­ter match Robo’s leaden pace.

Var­ied Play

Mul­ti­ple game­play styles are spread across the game’s three floppy disks. Driv­ing around Delta City is fun, but the scenes where you in­fil­trate build­ings, cap­ping bad­dies while avoid­ing hostages, are the high­light.

Slick In­ter­mis­sions

The ac­tion is punc­tu­ated by Me­dia­break bulletins which drive the plot for­ward. These in­ter­mis­sions are not quite Cine­maware-stan­dard, but they add an ex­tra amount of pol­ish to the over­all pack­age.

Smart Sam­ples

ST ti­tles were of­ten crit­i­cised for their weedy sound, but not this one. Sam­ples from the movies are used through­out. In this in­tro­duc­tory scene, ED-209 snarls and roars as it moves into po­si­tion, just like in the film.
