SUPER MARIO LAND GOES BIG

The internet recently got into a tizzy after Diskhacker uploaded an impressive version of Super Mario Land for the SNES. The Game Boy classic has been completely upgraded from its monochrome origins, and has a similar graphical style to New Super Mario Bros, along with sound effects from Super Mario 64. It’s surprisingly close to the original game in terms of level design from what we’ve played, but the movement of Mario could certainly do with a little work. There’s every chance the game get shuts down by the time you read this (Nintendo gonna Nintendo), but it’s great to see such wonders still being created for Nintendo’s 16-bit console.
