CHARACTER STUDY

MEET THE PLAYERS THAT PROPEL JANE’S STORIES

-

GABRIEL KNIGHT

This struggling bookshop owner starts the series as a roguish womaniser with a seemingly permanent hangover and a penchant for vodou mysteries. He never quite loses his cheeky charm, but does take his destiny as a guardian against supernatural threats more seriously as the series rolls on.

GRACE NAKAMURA

With a sarcastic wit that plays nicely off Gabriel, Grace is the perfect foil for the protagonist. Grace helps out with research from Gabriel’s bookshop in the first game, but takes a more central role as a playable character in the subsequent titles.

DETECTIVE MOSLEY

Played by the famous Mark Hamill in the first game, Detective Franklin Mosley is a childhood friend of Gabriel’s and his contact inside the police force. Though showing himself to be a competent cop, he isn’t the brightest, leaving him open to manipulation from Gabriel.

BARON FRIEDRICH VON GLOWER

With a elaborate and fun name like that, how can you be anything else but a top-class villain? Suave and sophisticated on the surface, he’s later revealed to be a werewolf.

MALIA GEDDE

Charismatic, mysterious and embroiled in the vodou underworld of New Orleans, Malia is a source of intrigue for both the player and Gabriel, who finds himself falling in love with her, introducing us to a new side of the shallow Gabriel we are used to.

GERDE HULL

The maid at Schloss Ritter, Gabriel’s family’s ancestral home, Gerde is one of the few characters to appear in all three games. She bears the unfortunate brunt of Grace’s misconceived jealousy in The Beast Within, but the pair end up working well together.
