TRULY RETRO
plus the magazines that Onn did that evolved into Electric Brain – Console Ma’zine and PC Engine Fanatics, and then briefly GAP after he sold Electric Brain. I subscribed to them all originally (through to the end) and still have them.
You may have seen this already but with the help of a friend, we got them all scanned at bit.ly/ Onnleezines

Thanks for letting us know, Andy – it’s fantastic to see the effort going into preserving fanzine culture right now. You can be assured we spent a good time looking through those during the Christmas break. Hi Retro Gamer,
Having just gone through some old photos, I found one from 1978 – a pic of my dad introducing me to the joy of the arcade, by sitting me at the controls of Star Fire.
Jump forward 44 years and I’m still gaming (Vampire Survivors has taken over my life), as is my dad – he’s obsessed with Star Wars: Galaxy Of Heroes on his ipad.
Anyway, love the mag – the old stuff makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Nik, Canada
That’s an excellent old photo Nik, and it’s lovely to hear that both you and your dad are still very passionate about the hobby. Thank you so much for your very kind words about the magazine. It means a lot.

Televisual treats
Though the fallout from the Netflix series Harry & Meghan has been seemingly inescapable, that hasn’t been the show that we’ve latched on to. Darran has been watching the Disney+ series 9-1-1, an emergency services procedural in which people frequently manage to survive injuries that you’d instantly assume to be fatal. Meanwhile, Nick has been watching the BBC’S reality game show The Traitors, an Among Us-style affair in which the contestants are proving surprisingly adept at outsmarting themselves.
