What inspired Data Man?

a NES game we could play together without competing but truly cooperatin­g. We decided to target the smallest possible cartridge commonly used – 40KB of storage. How we came up with the idea that you defend the NES and its CPU itself from bugs I don’t really remember. It fitted the co-op game we wanted really well given that health is shared between players. Xeno Crisis by Bitmap Bureau was a big inspiratio­n, not only in terms of gameplay but also the fact that it is a fantastic homebrew for the

Mega Drive. />
