Advance Wars 2. This game looks great, is beautifully balanced and really addictive. Once you start you just want to keep playing just to see the next amazing stage.

I would have to go with Metroid: Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion for their phenomenal gameplay. I also love how Metroid: Zero

Mission expanded on the original.

Drill Dozer was an insanely fun and replayable little gem by the same people who made Pokémon.

Bec-e

Tomb Raider: The Prophecy. I’m a sucker for Tomb Raider anyway and I was pleasantly surprised with how well this game played. It was surprisingly challenging too!

Beetz

The Hobbit. It was a time when I was obsessed with LOTR, and the chance to run around Middle-earth on a handheld console was just amazing.

Joseph K Garrahan

Car Battler Joe – a Mode 7 racing-themed RPG developed by Ancient. [That sounds absolutely amazing – Ed]

Azzgi

Golden Sun, because I didn’t know handheld games could do that at the time.

Sunnysaigon

Rhythm Tengoku – the cheerful music in this game will stick with you long after you’ve stopped playing!

Rocket

Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure is an overlooked gem! One of the best Dragon Ball games out there.

Squidnow

Mother 3 is a goddamn masterpiece.

Mrthunderwing

Ninja Cop! Hudson Soft created, Konami published awesomeness that plays like a cross between Shinobi and Bionic Commando with a very light sprinkling of Metroid. It’s flippin’ ace.

I have fond memories of playing Double

Dragon Advance, which I played while waiting for my flight into Japan.
