Triumph Tiger Sport

-

With the adventure bike segment covered by the 1200 and 800 Tigers, the Sport is in noman’s land. With no off-road pretensions, it has cast wheels and road tyres and a singlesided swingarm. The well-proven 1050cc engine has ride-by-wire engine management, with three-way switchable riding modes and traction control. It also has cruise control as standard, and there’s a slip/assist clutch. Showa suspension is multi-adjustable, as is the screen, in five positions. Hand guards are standard as well — our test bike was fitted with heated grips, a £193 option. There’s a 12V socket and a USB outlet as standard. If you want luggage, Triumph’s panniers are a £685 option, plus £136 for the colourmatched lids. A top box (with integral 12V socket) is £255 plus £105 for the colourmatched

lid. On the Tiger, a centrestand is an option at £210.
