Scenic Free – but with in-app purchases
See the App Store or Google Play Store THIS PHONE-NAVIGATION APP is free to download and comes with enough credit to get you started… but in-app purchase of further credits is needed to unlock features (such as cameras, country maps – £3 for five credits). It is, though, very good. Route planning on the phone is easy and you can upload GPX files to it through www.motomappers.com (which has how-to videos). On-screen directions are easy to follow and voice directions are clear and timely. It picks A-to-b routes well, has a speedo and works offline with downloaded maps. It’s very good but eats battery, so make sure there’s power available. SW
