Owners’ tyre tips
Metzeler Roadtec 01 £243 a pair
Good grip, good mileage, if a bit pricey. Janis recommends the Sportec M7RR (£252 a pair) for outright edge grip and stability, but for most road riders, the 01 is fine.
Continental Road Attack 3 £235 a pair
You ought to be able to squeeze 10,000 miles out of a pair of these, which helps to offset the price premium over the Bridgestones. Very good all-weather grip too. Bridgestone BT023 £173 a pair These are original fitment on the MT-07, and a lot of owners stick with them, partly due to the price, and partly because they do the job both predictably and reliably.
