Good grip, good mileage, if a bit pricey. Janis recommends the Sportec M7RR (£252 a pair) for outright edge grip and stability, but for most road riders, the 01 is fine.

You ought to be able to squeeze 10,000 miles out of a pair of these, which helps to offset the price premium over the Bridgestones. Very good all-weather grip too.
