A nice ride from David Wallis, looping out from Cirencester along the Calf Way to Birdlip and on through Stowon-the-wold (“Avoid all the antique shops,” advises David) and Chipping Norton (“Watch out for Jeremy Clarkson”). After that it swoops along the majestic B4437 from Charlbury, through Burford and on to the RIDE checkpoint in Bibury (“Watch out for camera-toting tourists stepping into the road”). All in all, a quality couple of easygoing hours in the Cotswolds and a nice weekend afternoon ride.
