Start/finish Biggin Hill Distance 57 miles Riding time 2 hours Checkpoints 1 (Spa Valley Railway)
A short but very sweet route starting and finishing at the Biggin Hill airfield in Kent, which played a huge part in the Battle of Britain in the Second World War. Reader Andy Clarke says he uses it for a quick morning ride or a post-work blast to clear the cobwebs and it heads south into the North Downs before turning back towards Groombridge and the RIDE checkpoint at the Spa Valley Railway. It then cuts across country to East Grinstead then returns to Biggin Hill, over the top of the Downs, with stunning views on the way.
