1 MONTH AHEAD
Brooklands New Year’s Day Classic Gathering January 1, Brooklands, Surrey
So long as the weather’s kind, this should be a great day out. You can expect 1000 classic cars, bikes and commercials to be on display, as well as the regular displays in the museum and other buildings, though you’ll have to pay for museum entry separately. Worth it though, as the collection of bikes, cars and planes (including a 1940 Hurricane fighter) is outstanding. www.brooklandsmuseum.com Carole Nash Winter Classic January 5-6, Newark Showground
The perfect way to spend your Christmas pennies, this well-established show is the usual mix of trade and club stands, as well as a great
autojumble section to help you find that missing part for your long-term project – or find a new project if you haven’t already got one. There’s also a classic-bike exhibition and a separate Scooter World gathering alongside. www.classicbikeshows.com Arenacross Rounds 1 and 2 January 18-19, SSE Arena, Belfast
Imagine 40 motocross bikes launching hard from a standing start and battling it out around a purpose-built track complete with whoops, table-tops, jumps and berms. Then imagine that track is indoors. That’s Arenacross; bringing the excitement of traditional motocross indoors and setting it to a pumping soundtrack. If you can’t make Belfast, the show rolls round to Sheffield and Birmingham during February. www.arenacrossuk.com
