Does the 19in front ruin the handling?

-

No. Sports ‘purists’ may sneer at the switch to adventure-size wheels and tyres but ,from the saddle, there’s nothing wrong with how the V4 S devours corners. Turn-in is as quick and easy as a 253kg (measured with a full tank) bike gets. Mid-corner it feels beautifully balanced, with no sense of trying to understeer or run wide. Suspension quality is sublime, keeping the chassis composed on the way into, round and out of corners. Ground clearance is huge. The standard Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres give phenomenal grip and feedback even in mid-january. Could you still trackday it? Without a doubt.
