How much power does it really make?
Ducati claims 168bhp and 92lb·ft for the Multistrada V4, though brochure figures are typically at the crankshaft. We prefer figures at the rear wheel, so we measure on a dyno. For the Multistrada, our tested figures are about 8% lower (a pretty typical transmission loss), with 155bhp and 84lb·ft at the tyre. On a full-throttle dyno run, Sport and Touring modes deliver identical output — the difference is just response. In Urban mode, the bottom-end is identical but power flattens off at 100bhp.
