Plan a route for the whole trip. But don’t be afraid to deviate. Accommodation can be booked easily on line and altered if necessary as you go.
Have a good sat nav. Even if you have planned your route, they can be useful for finding fuel, food, accommodation and helping when lost,
500-mile days are not fun. Take time to enjoy the places you ride through but most importantly, enjoy the whole experience — or what’s the point?
