Leather winter glove Hipora membrane CE level-1 KP rated www.oxfordproducts.com IN THE SHOWROOM Oxford’s “best-selling winter glove” has a leather outer and a Hipora lining for waterproofing and breathability. A single wrist-strap helps pull it on to the hand and there’s soft knuckle protection, as well as a soft palm slider and scaphoid pad. The fingers are pre-curved and the hand is insulated while the cuff from the wrist back is not. ON THE ROAD Our test was in the worst that British winter weather could throw at us but it became clear that the Convoys weren’t up to a ride like this. Not only did my fingertips get incredibly cold but after 1.5 hours, they started to allow water in, which made the situation worse. Putting them back on after the third visor-drying stop, I could barely get my hands in. The cuff felt narrow, which made getting them over the jacket a faff but the length of the fingers were perfect, though the thumbs were a touch long.
