THE deadline’s getting close, but there’s still time - just - for businesses and entrepreneurs to compete to be among the borough’s best.

All nominations for the 2014 Rochdale Business Awards need to be in by Friday, October 3 - that’s this week.

There isn’t much time, but all entries sent in by then will be considered by the Rochdale Business Awards steering committee, largely made up of Rochdale borough-based businesses in the private sector who are passionate about Rochdale’s industrial strength and those who bring commercial success to the Rochdale borough.

Carol Hopkins, business and investments manager with Rochdale Development Agency, one of the steering group members, said: “Rochdale Business Awards began in 2011 at the height of the economic downturn, and we showed that businesses in the borough’s four townships in Rochdale, Pennines, Heywood and Middleton were bringing in commercial success when it was most needed.

“Since then the Rochdale Business Awards have grown from strength to strength. It’s a great way to reward the borough’s business talent.”

The 2014 Rochdale Business Awards steering group have been working hard all year to make this year’s awards the best yet.
