They cut jobs to save money then go spending £16m on a facelift!! for that I would want it rebuilding!! They probably had a load of overpriced quotes for the work. Just my opinion, im sure some will disagree and some will agree. should get their priorities right. SO OUR council leader is focused on promoting our arts and heritage.
We have Touchstones, the Toad Lane museum, and Rochdale Central Library. He should instead concentrate on saving what few shops are left in the rapidly emptying Exchange and Wheatsheaf Centres.
And he is expecting a third shopping centre to make Rochdale attractive.
