Victims’ families will never be able to forget

-

IT’S arguably Rochdale’s most notorious crime, but now the European Court has ruled an article about Ronald Castree’s conviction for the 1975 murder of schoolgirl Lesley Molseed must be removed from Google under the ‘right to be forgotten’ law Maria Wynn: This is ridiculous !! A poor man was put away for something he didn’t do while that paedo got away with it for years !!! ‘Right to be forgotten’ ???? Bet Lesley and Stefan’s families NEVER forget. Human rights my backside .... Mark Turner: Removed? I know what I would

remove!

POLICE have now ruled out any third party involvement in the death of Heath Nield Elaine Waldron: Feel for his family... Knowing nothing of his death. Rip young man. Jamie-Leigh Aughey: there could me nothing untoward about it.. its really sad whats happened x

IT’S the ‘jewel in

Rochdale’s crown’ and it’s set to undergo a major facelift. Darren Lindley: they can’t even mend the pot holes in the road or come round the back streets where we live and pick liter up Paul Goodall: I hope the people that do the jobs are rochdale based so it keeps the money in the boro lol some hope Mark Turner: I personally think this is wonderful news. The ‘municipal’ damage that has been inflicted on this truly wonderful neo-gothic masterpiece is beyond rationality. Come on Rochdale folk, the town hall really is the jewel in our long faded crown. Stop now with the negativity and embrace this news and the wonderful tourism opportunities that will ensue. Rochdale folk continue to moan about the state of the town centre. Shall we just flatten it then and have another rip off car park and have done with? Come on! Lisa Marie Pixie: Complete waste of money - they should invest that money in the actual centre and the people that live in rochdale!! Carl Holt: And here was me thinking the council needed to save 51 million??? Bob Oafc Isaacs: spend the money on jobs and education Lee Barnes: Why the hell was it left to rack and ruin and allowed to be messed about with in the first place? It’s a lot of money but if there’s one thing rochdale should be proud of it’s that building. Katryna Jane Cadman: I got married there Jan 2013 looked alright to me, very nice indeed. They cut jobs to save money then go spending £16m on a facelift!! for that I would want it rebuilding!! They probably had a load of overpriced quotes for the work. Just my opinion, im sure some will disagree and some will agree. should get their priorities right. SO OUR council leader is focused on promoting our arts and heritage.

We have Touchstones, the Toad Lane museum, and Rochdale Central Library. He should instead concentrate on saving what few shops are left in the rapidly emptying Exchange and Wheatsheaf Centres.

And he is expecting a third shopping centre to make Rochdale attractive.

I don’t think so. Rochdale has gone. Name and address supplied
