Youngsters pay tribute

YOUNGSTERS paid their respects to fallen heroes.

Pupils from Milnrow Parish CE Primary School were among others around the area who took part in various Armistice Day-related activities.

Children from the school’s Ethos Council attended the Remembrance Day commemorations at Rochdale Cenotaph on November 11, laying a wreath on the memorial and crosses within the Memorial Gardens, as well as meeting the Mayor and Mayoress.

The school also supported the Poppy Appeal and observed a two-minute silence.

A spokesperson for the school said: “The children looked extremely smart and have done the school proud.”
