Pub is in the market to offer festive treats

A FAMILY-RUN pub’s popular Christmas markets are set to return for their third year from the start of next month.

The Oxford, on Whitworth Road, will hold the markets over the weekend of December 3 and 4 between 12 noon and 6pm.

And this year it will include a beer tent so large the pub claims it will even put the one on Bake Off to shame!

Tom McNeeney, chef at the pub, says the ‘frankly awesome’ markets are not be missed. He said: “Put December 3 and 4 in your diary because we’re going festive and bringing a bit of Christmas magic to Shawclough complete with stalls, Christmas trees for sale, a brass band and enough mulled wine to sink a ship.

“Not one to miss!”
