Jets are back for Easter

-

ROCHDALE Hornets’ Jets programme will return in the Easter Holidays, with all players from under12s to under-16s are invited.

The programme is part of the England Talent Pathway and this time out the club’s foundation are actively targeting more players to grow the numbers.

Dual registration partners Warrington Wolves will send coaches and talent identification coaches to the sessions which will consist of skill development, movement literacy and player education.

Head coach Alan Kilshaw, a level three qualified coach, will lead the sessions with the assistance of Hornets Foundation and volunteer coaches.

All of this year’s sessions will be held at Hopwood Hall using the successful Academy rugby facilities.

There will be playing opportunities at the U15s and U16s age groups this season with games against other hubs.

All players attending the Easter session are asked to turn up on the day with boots, trainers, water bottle and suitable clothing.

There will be some contact elements to the sessions so mouth guards are advised.

The sessions will run on Tuesday 4th April, with under-12s, 13s and 14s taking part in the 10am-12pm session and under-15s and 16s taking part in the 1pm-3pm session.

Both age groups will have a classroom session involving video analysis.

It will also include player profiling as the players will profile themselves on a number of different skills and set some development goals.

The outdoor element will see the players take part in skills session on a 3G pitch and/or grass where they will develop skills and compete in small games.

There is no need to book onto the course, just turn up for the allotted time slot for your child’s age group at Hopwood Hall 3G pitch, Middleton, M24 6XH.
