Special night rewards our equality champions
ACEREMONY has been held to announce the winners of the Rochdale Diversity Awards 2017.
The awards, which took place at Rochdale Town Hall, celebrate the work of individuals, organisations and employers who have promoted and supported equality and diversity within Rochdale.
The night was organised by the Kashmir Youth project (KYP), a charity dedicated to the development and regeneration of the Rochdale community.
The aim of the awards is to encourage service providers to ensure that equality and diversity play a key part in the running of their services.
Winners included Jamshed Miah, who received the Outstanding Achievement in Diversity Award, the Deaf Rhinos FC, who won the Breaking Barriers Award, and Rochdale Connections Trust who won the award for Diversity in Public Sector.
