Food festival team aim to serve up a winner
THE streets of Littleborough will be lined with food when a popular festival returns.
The Littleborough Food and Drink Festival is back for its third year and will see Hare Hill Road become home to a variety of food and drink stalls.
The festival will take place on Saturday, June 10, from 11am until 4pm, and organisers say there will be an even wider variety of stalls this year.
Guests will have a range of family friendly entertainment and activities to choose from, including food stalls, taster stands, cookery demonstrations, live music and face-painting.
Best Dressed boutique, on Church Street, will be serving champagne and strawberries as well as chocolates from Slattery’s chocolatier. On the same street, The Square cafe will be hosting Betsy’s Pantry, who produce cakes, cupcakes and other tasty treats.
Guests will also have a range a range of cocktails to choose from, available on Todmorden Road.
Handle Voucher, who are one of the festival sponsors will be handing out vouchers, redeemable at food and drink business throughout Littleborough. New for this year is a kids cookery class, run by Andy McKay, of Littleborough Deli. Any child over the age of five can take part and cook up some tasty treats.

Simon France, one of the main event organisers said: “It is a great and tasty family day out and allows people to sample a range of delicious food and entertainment.”
