Baby memorial service at hospital
FAMILIES who have lost a baby through stillbirth or shortly after birth are being invited to a special service of remembrance at North Manchester General Hospital.
The Baby Memorial Service – on Wednesday, July 5 at 7pm – will offer families a chance to reflect on their loss. It will include music, readings and poems and a couple of prayers, combined with the reading of the names of the babies.
Rev Ian Inglis, chaplaincy co-ordinator at The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, said: “The baby memorial service is open to all who wish to attend.
“It is a chance for anyone who has lost a child to pause, reflect and remember in a safe environment, amongst others who have experienced loss themselves.”
