Stags’ tasty Tanner Cup final

-

NORDEN bid for silverware on Sunday when they take on Heyside in the final of the JW Lees Pennine League’s Tanner Cup.

The match will be played at Heyside following the toss of a coin to decide venue, start 1pm.

Stags will be at full strength, although they are almost certain to go into the final without a professional.

It could turn out to be a brilliant game if it goes anything like a T20 clash earlier in the season when Norden beat Heyside at Little Hey Street – but only after a super over, with the match scores having been tied.

Today’s matches also start at 1pm.

Littleborough, revitalised following the return of professional Ryan Burl from international duty, travel to Greenfield, while Rochdale entertain Crompton whom they will also face a week tomorrow iwn the Wood Cup final replay at Middleton.

Norden play host to Glodwick looking to reverse a result at Glodwick earlier in the season which saw the Stags beaten.

Milnrow will be at home to Werneth in the Championship.
