Manchester battle takes toll on Rochdale

A HARD fought battle at Manchester last week has increased Rochdale RUFC’s already lengthy injury list ahead of today’s clash at home against Carlisle.

Blair Henry and Travis Townsend were concussed and therefore will spend at least three weeks out.

These are joined on the sidelines by the unavailabl­e Rob Wadsworth.

Carlisle are newly promoted from last season but Dale have had some good results against them in the recent past, and the available team will still have a reasonable chance of a result.

Players meet 1.15pm at clubhouse.

Rochdale 2nd XV’s good showing at Lymm last week has given them some confidence for today’s clash at Stockport.

The squad has suffered as the injury list grows, but they are always positive.
