Rochdale look for miracle to avoid the drop

-

ROCHDALE play another re-arranged game today at Warrington. A win over Firwood Waterloo last week by one point was an excellent result for the home team and Warrington are now mid-table after losing four on the trot but safe from a relegation battle. Rochdale are firmly in the relegation zone and only an extraordinary set of results could improve their situation. Jon Mair retains his comeback position and Ross Hartley is set to return after injury. Dom Macklin misses out with a concussion injury. T Callaghan, R Ward, H Hill, T Helliwell, G deSousa, D Hay, R Wadsworth, C Hodgkinson, D Serridge, J Duffy, T Townsend, J Mair, J Flitcroft, B Henry, O Coldman, M Candler, R Hartley, J Willetts.

A crushing defeat away at league leaders Lymm last week and another away fixture at Wirral doesn’t look any less of a test. Rochdale 2’s can however be proud to be able to say they have four victories already this season in a very tough league, Jed Woolfenden and his boys are acquitting themselves well. They have still some players unavailable and some injured players to return. S Barlow, S Humphries, J Woolfenden, J Warburton, D James, E Baker, A Burleigh, A Howorth, D Needham, B Coulter, J Holt, A Tweedale.

A walk over last week leads to a home fixture for the high flying 3rd XV. Captain Aaron Beresford has a strong squad to choose from in this encounter. Leyland are the table toppers with only one defeat this season, a real challenge for the 3rds.

G Smith, A Pope, A Beresford, D Smith, D Connor, J Smith, D Smith, A Gleeson, J Green, Z Hartley, K Humphries, S Campbell, S Holton, T Riley, J Finnegan, E Duffy.

Rochdale 4th XV v Oldham at home, meet at club 12.45pm.

Anyone unsure about selection, turn up with your boots.
