THE Flying Horse Hotel has thrown its support behind Rochdale Feel Good Festival and is sponsoring the main stage for the tenth consecutive year.

Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Saturday, August 18, for a showcase of entertainment, food and culture.

There will be lots of family entertainment, the main stage headlined by rock band Feeder, a food and drink court plus live music across indoor venues.

Manager of the town centre pub Patricia Boothman said: “We are delighted to be back again supporting this amazing festival and look forward to showcasing all The Flying Horse has to offer, not only during the festival but with the warm up events we will be running earlier in the summer too. It’s a big team effort working with our staff and the festival organisers on such a big event but we are looking forward to helping deliver another top class festival to be proud of.”

Last month The Flying Horse was named CAMRA Rochdale, Oldham and Bury Branch Pub of the Year for the second year in a row.

The venue is also regarded as one of Rochdale’s best live music venues, hosting entertainment every weekend.

They also serve traditional homemade food, produced using the finest locally sourced ingredients.

This year marks a decade since The Flying Horse first sponsored the main stage and this week Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for neighbour- ●●Ben Boothman (right), owner of main stage sponsor The Flying Horse Hotel, with staff Adam Sweeney, Jon Hudson and manager Patricia Boothman hoods, community and culture at Rochdale Borough Council visited the venue to thank them for the support and check out their plans for this year.

She said: “Rochdale Feel Good Festival is going from strength to strength and it is incredible to see how it has grown over the years, but it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our sponsors and partners.

“We are very grateful for The Flying Horse’s support over the last ten years, their input is fantastic in so many ways.”

On the main stage, headliners Feeder will be joined by Britpop legends Cast, ska music stars The Uplifters, country singer Emily Faye, pop rock duo The Curious Incident, international songstress Anna Pancaldi, R&B singer KS Roosevelt, Manchester duo KAZE, new bands VALA and High Wyre, Rochdale indie dance funk band The Alchemists and a local battle of the bands winner.

The festival is funded by the council together with sponsorship from The Flying Horse Hotel, Premier Kia, The Wellington gastro pub, 02 Rochdale, The Royal Toby hotel and other local businesses.
