Fast food de­liv­ery firm set to bring 20 new jobs

ITS cy­clists car­ry­ing big turquoise back­packs are a com­mon sight in town and cities across the UK.

And now fast food de­liv­ery firm De­liv­eroo has launched in Rochdale.

By the end of the year food from 30 take­aways and restau­rants in the bor­ough will be avail­able for home de­liv­ery through De­liv­eroo’s app and web­site.

Eater­ies to have linked up with the firm in­clude Whit­worth Chi­nese Take­away, Cakes ‘n’ Shakes and Los Pepe’s and also chains such as KFC, and Frankie & Benny’s.

More than 20 jobs will be cre­ated for lo­cal peo­ple in Rochdale over the course of the first year.

The ma­jor­ity of th­ese jobs will be De­liv­eroo rid­ers.

Dan Warne, man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of De­liv­eroo in UK and Ire­land, said: “Launch­ing in Rochdale is a key mile­stone for De­liv­eroo. Rochdale has a thriv­ing foodie community and a wide range of restau­rants, so we’re ex­cited to con­nect them.

“We look for­ward to work­ing with our new restau­rant part­ners to reach a new cus­tomer base and ex­pand their busi­nesses.

“De­liv­eroo will also cre­ate work for 20 lo­cal rid­ers and are thrilled to of­fer a flex­i­ble role to the community.”
