Rochdale Observer - - FRONT PAGE -

THERE are just a few weeks to sign up for this year’s Williams BMW Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run.

The big day is fast approaching and organisers are urging people to register ahead of the deadline.

Runners will start at Rochdale Town Hall and set out on traffic-free courses taking in town and some of the borough’s best countryside, including Broadfield Park.

Councillor Janet Emsley cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture at Rochdale Borough Council said: “The countdown is really on for the Williams BMW Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run and there’s always a last minute rush as the deadline approaches. Online entry ends just under a week before the event so we’re encouraging anyone who is thinking about signing up to do so now.”

The event is organised by Middleton Harriers, Rochdale Harriers and Rochdale Triathlon Club, supported by Rochdale Borough Council.

The deadline for registering for any of the event is September 30 and costs £31.40. To enter and find out more, visit www.rochdale.gov. uk/run
