ROCHDALE AFC’s first ever Macmil­lan Cof­fee Day proved to be a huge suc­cess.

Held at the Crown Oil Arena, Dale In The Com­mu­nity Trust’s ‘Sil­ver 60s’ group raised al­most £200 for Macmil­lan Can­cer Sup­port. The Dale first team squad and man­age­ment at­tended, do­nat­ing to the cause and en­joy­ing cups of cof­fee and a chat with the group’s mem­bers

Macmil­lan’s World’s Big­gest Cof­fee morn­ing took place on Fri­day, with all do­na­tions to the Cof­fee Day at the club go­ing to Macmil­lan.

Cakes and bis­cuits were do­nated by those who at­tended, as well as a num­ber of prizes for a raf­fle. Dale’s Sil­ver 60s is open to se­nior cit­i­zens in the Rochdale bor­ough, with ac­tiv­i­ties such as walk­ing foot­ball/net­ball, mat bowls, cards and they are al­ways look­ing to wel­come new mem­bers.

The group takes place be­tween 1pm-3pm ev­ery Wed­nes­day with free trans­port avail­able to those wish­ing to at­tend as well as re­fresh­ments through­out the day.
