Care team un­veil men­tal health ser­vice

A NEW men­tal health ser­vice has of­fi­cially opened.

De­liv­ered by Rochdale coun­cil’s adult care team, the new ap­proach aims to de­liver high­qual­ity men­tal health ser­vices from one site.

Ap­proved Men­tal Health Pro­fes­sion­als (AMHPs) will work to­gether to de­liver key ser­vices to com­mu­ni­ties across Rochdale, Hey­wood and Mid­dle­ton.

The coun­cil said it is about im­prov­ing its high qual­ity men­tal health ser­vices.

Coun Iftikhar Ahmed, cab­i­net mem­ber for adult care, said: “It is ab­so­lutely vi­tal that peo­ple have con­fi­dence in the coun­cil’s men­tal health ser­vices and, thanks to a bril­liant team of staff, they can be re­as­sured we are de­liv­er­ing our ser­vices to the high­est pos­si­ble stan­dards.”

The ser­vice is lo­cated at the Sud­den Re­source Cen­tre, Silk Street, Rochdale. The hours of op­er­a­tion are 9am-7pm Mon­day to Fri­day. Re­fer­rals should be made to the new AMHP op­er­a­tional busi­ness sup­port team on 01706 370286 up to 4.30pm. Re­fer­rals re­quir­ing an ur­gent re­sponse af­ter 4.30pm will be re­ferred to the emer­gency duty team on 0300 303 8875.
