Rochdale Observer - - SCHOOL NEWS -

A WORKING party this week saw Ladybarn’s Bowling Green closed for the winter, but there was just time to get in the last two competitions.

The Keevil trophy was won by young Lucy Highton with a 21-18 final win over Colin Kay.

Lucy, this year’s Rochdale ‘C’ Division aggregate winner, was on splendid form all afternoon and thoroughly deserved her success.

Gary Sanderson and Lesley Chadwick were the losing semifinalists.

On Saturday, as part of the McMillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning, the Competition for the David Grime Cup was dedicated to the Charity.

Paul Kitchen collected the trophy following his win over Tracey Gill, with Anne Kitchen and Ken Davies filling the semi-final places. Sale of refreshments, and the raffle, kindly donated by Members saw “Hospice at Home” benefit by £200.
