Universal Credit is about making sure you are better off in work. With it, you get a work coach to give you expert advice to boost your chances of finding a job. As you move into work, your work coach will continue to be there for you. Here are some questions work coaches are commonly asked:
With Universal Credit you get support from your work coach right from the start of your claim to help you find a job, increase your hours and earn more. Taking a job will always be worth your while – even if it’s just a temporary job or for a few hours a week – and there are no limits to the hours you can work. When you start work or increase your hours, Universal Credit will top up your earnings each month. It will gradually reduce as your earnings increase. If your job ends, it’s easy to start your Universal Credit payments again.
