Uni­ver­sal Credit is about mak­ing sure you are bet­ter off in work. With it, you get a work coach to give you ex­pert ad­vice to boost your chances of find­ing a job. As you move into work, your work coach will con­tinue to be there for you. Here are some ques­tions work coaches are com­monly asked:

With Uni­ver­sal Credit you get sup­port from your work coach right from the start of your claim to help you find a job, in­crease your hours and earn more. Tak­ing a job will al­ways be worth your while – even if it’s just a tem­po­rary job or for a few hours a week – and there are no lim­its to the hours you can work. When you start work or in­crease your hours, Uni­ver­sal Credit will top up your earn­ings each month. It will grad­u­ally re­duce as your earn­ings in­crease. If your job ends, it’s easy to start your Uni­ver­sal Credit pay­ments again.
