Struggling Boro face difficult derby

Rochdale Observer - - SCHOOL NEWS -

LITTLEBOROUGH’S 1st XV make the short trip up the road to Oldham this afternoon for what looks on paper a tough derby clash in the ADM Premier Division.

Oldham head into the game sitting third in the division, while Boro are second from bottom.

However, the visitors will be buoyed by the fact Aldwinians – just one place above Boro in eighth – beat Oldham last weekend, albeit on home soil.

Still, Oldham have enjoyed a good start to the season and Boro will need all their experience to count if they are to pick up a positive result on the road today.

The second are also away from home as they travel to Leigh seconds, while the third team are in action at Rakewood as they entertain Vale of Lune thirds. All today’s game kick off at 2.15pm.

The Littleborough Pink Warriors Ladies team are in action tomorrow when they make the journey to Garstang.

Among the junior teams, the under 15s and 14s take on Rochdale at home while the under 9s are at Bolton and the under 13s take part in the Rochdale Festival.
