Houghton Weavers announce festive season performance

-

A NORTHERN folk music band will be bringing their own brand of musical Christmas fun to the town.

The Houghton Weavers are set to play in Rochdale on Thursday, December 27.

The well-known group of four talented musical entertainers will be helping audiences enjoy the festive season at Rochdale Royale, Platting Lane.

Lead singer Tony Berry said: “We love this time of year because it gives us the chance to meet our fans and help everyone enjoy the festive season.

“And what better place than Rochdale where people really know how to have a good time!

“We always aim to bring a smile to everyone’s face with our concerts – add to that the magic of Christmas and you really do have a special night out.”

The four likely lads – Tony, his brother Jim, Steve Millington and David Littler – are as busy and creative today as they ever were.

They honed their musical craft in the region’s folk clubs and have enjoyed non-stop success ever since.

For their special Christmas Tour of 15 dates around the region, they offer a wonderful evening of humour and song to get all ages in the right mood for Christmas.
