Hospice tea room has re­opened

SPRINGHILL Hospice have re­opened their fa­mous tea room and gift shop just in time for the Christ­mas.

The cafe for­merly known as ‘Springhill Tea Rooms and Gift Shop at the Craven’ has re­opened with the new name, ‘Cof­fee at the Craven.’

The café, which is based on Broad Lane, will have the new open­ing hours of 10am and 3pm Tues­day to Fri­day. The café has seen a re­fresh with the help of vol­un­teers giv­ing the walls a fresh lick of paint and a brand new cof­fee ma­chine.

Julie Hal­li­well, chief ex­ec­u­tive of Springhill Hospice, said: “We are so ex­cited to be re-open­ing Cof­fee at The Craven. We have taken time to smarten the place up, re­place some old equip­ment and re-vamp our menus.

“We will be us­ing Dark­woods Cof­fee, not only do they pro­vide top qual­ity, spe­cial­ist cof­fee from farm­ers who are paid eth­i­cally, but they are also nes­tled in a small vil­lage just over the Pen­nines.”

The gift shop will also be re­open­ing just in time for Christ­mas. Along­side a va­ri­ety of home­ware, gifts and sta­tionery, cus­tomers will be able to buy home­made items cre­ated by a team of crafty vol­un­teers for the hospice.
