Gaffer’s farewell and thanks to chairman

SATURDAY was Chris Dunphy’s final home game as Rochdale chairman and manager Keith Hill was quick to pay tribute.

Mr Dunphy stepped down after 12 years in the roll and an associatio­n with the club stretching back to the early eighties.

“It was an emotional day for Chris and all his family, I’m glad they were all there to support him,” said Hill. “He’s been a brilliant chairman to work building new sides – it’s been very successful.
