Are you missing Ukrainian cash?
POLICE are trying to find the owners of a haul of old and foreign currency seized from a burglary suspect.
A man was detained on Saturday in relation to a number of burglaries in Littleborough and Milnrow.
After searching a house, officers discovered 90 Ukrainian hryvnia, as well as four sterling pound notes - which haven’t been in circulation since 1988.
A silver-coloured Ingersoll pocket watch and a silver-coloured Seiko bracelet wrist watch with gold features were also found.
Police say they believe the items may have been taken during other burglaries or thefts.
Investigating officers from the Pennine Neighbourhood Team are looking to find the owners of the distinctive items.
