Sessions for young creatives held on Saturday afternoons
For 2019, our young creatives are being offered the opportunity to develop their creativity and achieve an Arts Award.
Touchstones Rochdale will be running Borough Beats: Young Creatives sessions every Saturday afternoon giving young people (aged 11 to 25) a great opportunity to take part in music and arts activities working towards the Arts Award Explore certificate.
The sessions will involve DJing, animation, sound recording, sound sampling, composition and a chance to try different musical instruments.
Young people will also have the opportunity to contribute towards a new exhibition in the permanent museum space at Touchstones Rochdale.
Participants will be able to develop entry level skills into the creative industries in an informal, welcoming and energising setting.
The sessions will be held each Saturday from January 19 to March 23, from 1pm to 3pm.
For more information on the project or to book a place email boroughbeats@link4life. org or phone 01706 924492 to speak with museum youth coordinator, Alison Cooper.
