Loanees announced in time for London Road
ROCHDALE announced the loan signings of Ethan Ebanks-Landell from Wolves and Ethan Hamilton from Manchester United ahead of Saturday’s clash at Peterborough.
Defender EbanksLandell joins from the Premier League side until the end of the season.
He has been with Wolves since the age of nine, signing his first professional contract with the club in 2010. The 26-year-old has made 50 appearances for Wolves, making his debut in August 2013.
He has also spent time on loan at Bury, Sheffield United and MK Dons, making almost 100 appearances in League One throughout those spells.
Hamilton, 20, has also joined on loan until the end of the season.
“I’m delighted to come here,” said Hamilton.
“To play proper men’s football is going to be great. It’s something I need in my development and I’m really grateful for the opportunity to come here.
“I’m a type of player that will give everything. I’ve got quite a lot of energy, I like to go box-to-box and get involved. I’ll try and perform to the best of my ability.”
The versatile midfielder, who can also play in defence, has been with Manchester United since the age of 16, having joined from Hutchison Vale, a local boys club based in Edinburgh.
He has captained United’s Under-18s and has been a regular in their Under-23 team that plays in Premier League 2, appearing in all 14 of their matches so far this season.
The Scot was also named in United’s matchday squad for their Emirates FA Cup fifth round win over Huddersfield Town last season.
