Do your bit for the club – stay away
ROCHDALE AFC has reminded supporters of the imprtance of staying away from the Crown Oil Arena when fixtures are taking place during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The club issued a statement on the official website calling on all fans to adhere to Government guidelines and play their part in halting the spread of coronavirus.
The statement read: “We understand the frustrations you must feel at being unable to come to the Crown Oil Arena to support your team.
“These are difficult and unprecedented times for all of us, and whilst we would love nothing more than for you to be back with us on matchdays, for the safety of yourself, matchday workers, players, staff and local residents/ the local community, it is of the utmost importance that you do not try to either access the Crown Oil Arena or congregate outside in the car park when Dale are in action behind-close-doors.
“Supporters are reminded that the whole of England is currently in a lockdown, therefore, Greater Manchester Police will be informed if you turn up at the ground.
“At this moment in time, whilst we play behind closed doors, only a strict number of club officials/ staff from both clubs are permitted entry into the Crown Oil Arena. This is in addition to media and players.
“Those who attend all adhere to our specially implemented Covid secure procedures including completing a health questionnaire, having their temperature checked, wearing facemasks and sitting socially distanced.
“We need you to support us from home. Cheers us on from the comfort of your living room by keeping up to date with all of the action on iFollow. Interact with us on social media - send us your photos or tell us where you’re tuning in from.
“Please stay safe so we can play our part in helping stop this virus.
We look forward to the day that we can welcome you back to the Crown Oil Arena.
“Thank you for understanding and co-operation.”
